I would like to know more about the dynamics of waterblasting and joint seals on airport runways.
Great idea Jody for a course here. I would like to find expert contractors that install these joint sealers to explain the various types of joint seals found on airport runways. I would also like to hear from expert contractors around the world that use various paint and rubber removal methods and how they deal with this issue during the removal process. I know that Waterblasting.com places a piece of rebar in the joint to protect it when the Stripe Hog blasting heads pass over the joints. Depending on the joint material and speed at which the removal is being done very often the joint seals are not damaged at all and don't require a means of protection but if it does the rebar works great.
