The SK3000 is a complete, 40,000 psi, 6 gpm, Strip Hog Waterblasting System. The SK3000 is unique in that the entire unit is built on a 20’, skid-like platform. With a couple of forklifts or a small crane, the SK3000 can quickly be loaded or unloaded from a flatbed chassis or trailer.

The blasting head for the SK3000 is the single, 6”-14”, tractor mounted blasting unit which is ideally suited for the removal of turn arrows, stop bars, crosswalk lines, and gore markings. This zero-turn, hydrostatic drive tractor will also operate with remarkable efficiency in parking lots and multi-level parking garages. The tractor unit can just as easily be used for the removal of long lines, skip lines, and aircraft rubber deposits on airport runways. With the required amount of UHP water and vacuum hose, the tractor unit will operate up to 400’ away from the truck making it the ideal tool for the cleaning and stripping of the floors in airport hangers, factories, and warehouses. It can also be used for many other commercial, surface prep applications such as curing compound removal on new concrete. The overall advantage of the tractor mounted blasting head is that it works easily in confined spaces where a truck mounted blasting head cannot operate.

When in the operational mode, a joystick mounted next to the operator fully controls the left to right and vertical movement of the blasting head. When traveling to or from a jobsite, space is provided on the platform of the SH3000 for the storage and transport of the tractor. It is quickly unloaded and loaded via a side mounted loading ramp.

Unlike the truck mounted versions of the Stripe Hog, the SK3000 requires a 225 hp auxiliary diesel engine for the powering of the UHP water pump and the vacuum blower. It is noteworthy though that only one engine is used to power both of these components. Another distinguishing feature of the SK3000 is that the clean water and vacuum storage tanks are less then half the capacity of the tanks on the truck mounted units. This dramatically reduces the overall size of the unit making it an attractive option for areas of the world where an SH4000 or an SH8000 might be too large in size. It is also ideal for contactors and airports who have a limited budget and already own a chassis or trailer that would support the SK3000. If the size or cost of an SH4000 or an SH8000 is beyond your reach, consider the value and portability of the SK3000.
